Mrs. Betty DuBoise
Mrs. DuBoise'moved to Albuquerque from Montrose, Colorado where she taught Kindergarten for four years. Prior to teaching, Mrs. DuBoise was a Pharmacy Technician. After her children left home, her husband said "You've always wanted to be a teacher.. go back to school." So she did, receiving her Associates Degree at Central NM College and her Bachelor's degree at NM Highlands University.
Mrs. DuBoise says she is very blessed because she is able to do more than just teach. "I inspire, challenge, mentor, nurture and counsel. Whenever I have "successes" with my students in any of these areas, I know I have accomplished much more than just a grade on a report card. I have contributed to a lifetime of learning."
Teaching has allowed Mrs. DuBoise to have a positive impact on lives and at the end of the day she knows she has tried her best to reach every student who enters her room. "I am very fortunate that teaching found me, and has changed my life. I can't think of any other profession that would provide me the rewards and fulfillment that I have found in teaching. "
